What exactly is Home Care/Personal Care?

  • Home Care/Personal Care is a service which provides help to the elderly and disabled who cannot tend to their own needs. Home Care/Personal Care includes assistance with personal care and activities of daily living. Offered in the patient's residence and can be either long term (disability) or short term (post hospitalization),

  • Is Home Care/Personal Care only for senior citizens?

    Home Care/Personal Care  is not just for senior citizens. Many children and adults with disabilities, whether permanent or temporary, can receive long term Home Care/Personal Care services.

  • What Home/Personal Care services does Absolute include? 

    The Home/Personal Care services provided by our agency covers a wide range of personal care needs: 

    • Home/Personal Care Aide Services 

    • Private duty nursing

  • What is the difference between Personal Care/Home Care services and skilled nursing services? 

    Personal Care/Home Care services are provided by Nursing Aides/Personal Care Aides; under the supervision of a registered nurse. The Aide performs tasks according to the plan of care designed by the client and the agency's registered nurse. The Plan of Care is designed to assist the client with their personal care which includes ADLs (activities of daily living). While Skilled nursing services are carried out by a Registered Nurse or a Licensed Practical Nurse and may include: 

    • Client assessments 

    • Vital signs monitoring 

    • Diabetic teaching and management 

    • Medication administration and management 

    • Injections 

    • Respiratory care 

    • Rehabilitation 

    • Wound care 

    • Ostomy care 

    • Catheter care 

    • Client and family teaching

  • What qualifications do your Home/Personal care Aides have?

    All employees are insured and they must undergo state and federal screening processes to include, but not limited to: a full criminal background check, and pass an intensive interview process, reference checks, professional license verification, and skill evaluation.

  • Who pays for my services?

    In most cases, 100% of North Carolina Home Care Services are covered by Medicaid, directly accepted by "Absolutely Divine". We also accept Medicaid waiver programs such as Community Alternative Program (CAP) as well as long term insurance, private insurance, and private payments (discounted as a convenience to you). Newly certified to provide services to our Armed Service Members. (Call for details)

  • Do I need to sign a contract?

    Yes. However, services may be cancelled at any time. During the initial assessment, a Registered Nurse will discuss the service agreement and answer any questions you may have.

  • What kind of services do I need?

       As each client is unique, please call our friendly staff/coordinators today to discuss your individual

       needs.

 

  • How do I get started? 

       Simply call "Absolutely Divine" Home Care today and ask to speak to our coordinator and

       placement specialist who will take down necessary information (intake) and will coordinate with            you and a Registered Nurse to perform an initial assessment and evaluation for your individual                needs.
